Jasmine Santisteban, Samantha Ramirez and Beatrice Morales

Beatrice and Jasmine worked on Dance on Sunset for three consecutive days. This was their first background job.

Jasmine went on an interview for Saving Grace on 5-22 and got her first sag voucher! She worked four days on this show.

Samantha and Beatrice played the role of school kids on the TV pilot Bad Mothers Handbook. This was Samantha's first background job.

Beatrice was booked on Lincoln Heights on 6/2 but the director messed up on age group so she got paid but didn't do any work for them.

Gracie Greer

Gracie just rapped an incredible run at the Whitefire in the production of An Imperfect Seed delivering a complex performance as the sister of a brother who suffered from an anger disorder. She just filmed her first pilot for FOX Reality Binge, in a role that was specifically created for her. Her PSA Talk to Kids has been a runaway hit on Will Farrell’s website funnyordie.com. She was handpicked by Enrique Iglesias to play his childhood girlfriend in his latest video Donde Estas Corazon. She is extremely proud of being a part of Melissa Etheridge’s video for her Oscar’ winning song I need to wake up from the film An Inconvenient Truth. For the past year, she has also been the exclusive fit model for Juicy Couture.

Chanel and Michael Sherwood:

Michael has signed to be represented by Rising Stars.

Chanel and Michael got to do background work on the Will Ferrel movie Land of the Lost.

Chanel and Michael made their first appearance on TV. The TV show Big Bang Theory that aired on CBS.

They have both been on Dance on Sunset - the Nickelodeon show.

Michael also made an appearance on the season finale of My Name is Earl. He has also been asked to audition for Nintendo, Marie Claries, and Bridgestone tires.

Keoante Hogains

Keontae has done a Payless Shoes commercial and a pilot for a TV show called Bad Mother's Handbook.

Keoante is represented by Rising Stars.

Maximus and Samantha Rodriguez

Maximus and Samantha booked their first commercial for Pollo Campero.

Samantha just booked her second commercial! It is for the American Cancer Society. She beat out close to 200 actors. This was only her second audition.

Destinee Capistran

Destinee did her first promo. She was picture picked do to the new promo for the Disney Pixar movie WALL-E.

Hector Duran

Hector booked his first lead on a short film for USC. The name of the film is Glued to Glory.

Hector is represented by Jaime Ferrar Agency.

Guadalupe Gomez

Guadalupe booked a supporting role on a short film for USC. The name of the film is Glued to Glory.

Guadalupe is represented by Jaime Ferrar Agency.

Jonathan Castellanos

Jonathan recently booked a National Target Commercial in English and Spanish with the Jonas Brothers!

Alora Kingsbury

Alora recently booked background work for the TV show on CBS called Moonlight. Alex O’loughlin who stars on the show approached Alora and introduced himself and had his picture taken with her for memories.

Alora also booked background work for the TV show Dirty Sexy Money that airs on ABC starring Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh. There was only six children chosen for this scene and she will be right up front for the Season premiere.

Chances are that when you started this program, your child was unable to audition properly for speaking parts.
He/She should be ready now.

Talent agents, casting directors, and managers are the industry professionals responsible for sending talent on auditions for speaking roles in film, television and commercials. They are constantly in pursuit of new faces.
Talent Showcases are your child's opportunity to audition for several of these professionals and perhaps gain representation!!

The Hollywood Group’s Young Actors Participate in Obama PSA

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Hollywood Group's members Joshua Reed, Angelina Bryan and Marcus Scribner, each had the opportunity to recently participate as actors in a public service announcement for Barack Obama. The young actors were cast in the PSA for the presidential hopeful after Sterling Studio owner, Constance Tillotson, received a call from the producer looking for kids to play the acting roles of John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama as youngsters. Constance Tillotson sits on the committee at the SAG Conservatory serving as Director of the Youth Division. She is the CEO of CTManagement, which manages a select clientele of young, extraordinary actors. She also has a very close working relationship with The Hollywood Group.

"The producer of this project was referred to me by a board member at SAG," explains Tillotson. "The producer hired Marcus and Angelina without an audition as she trusted all kids had craft coming from my studio. When The Hollywood Group (http://www.hollywoodgroup.com) recommended Joshua for the part of John McCain, I called his mother. I felt her son had enough experience in auditions that he could take direction on set. Since he was able to work with actors who are so well trained, he was able to follow their lead and did a tremendous job along with the others."

The parents played a pivotal role. They were quick to respond and very grateful for the opportunity. This is a great example of why continuous study and making connections really pays off in the entertainment business.

The Hollywood Group announces opportunity for young actors to showcase their talents

Hundreds of aspiring young actors between the ages of 5 and 17 years will have a chance to showcase their talents for several of Entertainment Industry’s top agents, managers and casting directors on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008. This showcase, offered by the Hollywood Group, is a unique way for these children to meet as many industry professionals as possible in a single day. Many of the auditioning children and teenagers have had extensive experience working as background talent, and they are eager to get to the next step. Not only does attending this event afford the young actors a chance to gain exposure within the Industry, it could also land them professional representation for speaking roles in major film, television, and commercial productions.

The showcase offered by the Hollywood Group on May 3rd will include the VIP panel of: Ninna Sexsmith from Daniel Hoff Agency, Irma Villalvazo from Jaime Ferrar Agency, Indra Clark from Clear Talent Group, Donna Micheline from Aimee Entertainment, Gabrielle Ilg from Bobby Ball Agency and, manager Addison Witt from Witt Management. Their clients are some of Hollywood’s most talented young stars. The showcase is an opportunity for the agents, managers and casting directors to add more talent to their already prestigious roster.

Only a few months ago, many of these children and teenagers would have been unprepared for a venue like this talent showcase. Talent is a practiced skill, however, and these kids have received valuable tools as part of their involvement with the Hollywood Group. The Hollywood Group’s program is geared towards auditioning opportunities, such as this showcase, and booking acting jobs. It provides one the opportunity to build a portfolio of experience. Many of the Hollywood Group’s members have appeared in feature films, television series and national commercials. Some of their most recent work has included “Bedtime Stories” starring: Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Guy Pearce, Courtney Cox; “Mirrors” starring: Kiefer Sutherland; “My Sister’s Keeper” starring: Cameron Diaz, Joan Cusack; “Seven Pounds” starring: Will Smith, Woody Harrelson, Rosario Dawson; “The Soloist” starring: Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx, Catherine Keener and TV Shows like: According To Jim, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, CSI, Drake and Josh, ER, Ghost Whisperer, Hannah Montana, How I Met Your Mother, Mad TV, My Name is Earl, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Without a Trace.

Showcasing: A Group Effort

Attending a talent showcase is considered the pinnacle of the Hollywood Group program. Still many parents ask, "What is a showcase" and "Where do I find a script for the showcase?"
To answer these and many other questions about showcasing, we are proud to announce our newest workshop for parents, Showcase Planning.

The Showcase Planning Workshop equips the parent with ammunition to help their child make the most of their showcase performance. Topics to be discussed include:

- What agents and managers look for and how they select new talent
- Dos and don't including appropriate wardrobe and etiquette
- Guidelines for selecting and writing commercial material
- Tipes for encouraging your kids without pressuring them

Once your child is in front of agents and managers, the outcome is ultimately up to him. Before bringing your child to a showcase, however, it is up to you to make sure your child is fully aware of what a showcase entails and determine if your child is ready to shine. Your child has approximately one minute to impress the VIP's. Will they be ready?
